Okay, listen up you anglers!

I've spent close to 50 years in the Canadian sportfishing business and I keep returning year after year to Kyuquot Sound. The reasons are pretty simple....world class fishing, world class accommodations and great hosts.

The saltwater fronting Fishing Kyuquot offers the finest sport trolling  for chinook salmon and coho salmon found anywhere on  the British Columbia coastline and that includes the Queen Charlottes. As for bottom fishing for barn door halibut and giant lingcod, I've never found a more actiive feeding grounds anywhere on the Pacific.

Take a look at Fishing Kyuquot's new Rugged Point Lodge and you soon realize it's a one of a kind world class destination that's surrounded by the beauty of a pristine wilderness. Enjoy the challenges of a world class fishery all day and then return to Rugged Point Lodge to settle back and relax in luxury as you wait for the next day's battle on the majestic saltwater of the Pacific.

Oh...and let's talking abou the dining I've always come to expect and enjoy. Throw away those diet  regimes, at least during your stay at this destination. Just like the fishing, when it comes to dining, this is the place to enjoy. Juicy tender steaks, fresh local seafood and oh, those deserts. Who the heck cares about calories? Definitely not me, when I come to Fishing Kyuquot.

Finally, there's the hosts. Like I've stated, I've fished up and down the coast from California to Alaska and believe me you can't find a better and more accomodating duo that Kristy and Matt Guiguet. Matt is one of the finest guides I've ever wet a line with, whether it comes to trolling the saltwater or drifting he currents for steelhead. Then there's Kristy who supervises the onshore operation. I dare anyone or any other operation to compete against her when it comes to hospitality, including serving up a meal whether it be a hearty early morning breakfast or a scrumption four course dining extravaganza. And that smile of an angel always is there to great you on your return.

The fishing, the surround wild and beautiful wilderness and the people make Fishing Kyuquot different from the rest.

I hope to see you up at Fishing Kyuquot and the all new Rugged Point Lodge....this year, next year and many, many years into the future.
