THERE ARE ALWAYS SALMON IN KYUQUOT SOUND!
With the numerous, abundant runs of salmon that pass through this area from May to September, there are always salmon in Kyuquot Sound! The rock piles inshore start producing in May and continue through September. The offshore reefs and banks literally attract salmon year round. With its unique geography and location, this is the area where the vast majority of migrating schools of Chinook first head inland as they follow the coast down to their home rivers. There is no better place to fish on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Matt’s boat is a 23’-6" Grady White Gulfstream outfitted with the best tackle that Pro Staff guides can receive. The 250 horse, 4-stroke Yamaha smokeless engine propelles his fishing machine from one hot spot to the next.. The boat is outfitted with the ultimate in Lowrance GPS, Sonar and Radar technology. It's not a question of finding the fish but more of a question of "When are you coming to catch them?"

TOP-FLIGHT FISHING GEAR
We use 10’6” Lamiglas rods and MR2 and MR3 Islander reels. With the abundance of coho in the Summer and Fall, bucktailing for Coho is another great option to try. There are more lingcod than you can shake a stick at, and yelloweye and black rockfish can be found all season - great sport on light spinning tackle!
