This is a world class fly fishery for coho salmon, situated in a truly remote and spectacular part of BC. The northwest coast of Vancouver Island, in Sept. Oct. and Nov. is truly a wild place.
With our lodge situated within 10 miles of 6 rivers, we are in prime location for basing our unique fall fly-fishing trips. September 15th we change gears and directions, instead of heading out into the open ocean for salmon and halibut, we put on our waders, string our fly rods and head up the rivers for some big wild northern coho!
Access to these remote rivers is all done by boat, we head up the inlets to the estuaries where we have a 17ft. inflatable jet boat moored, transfer from the Grady White into the jet and head up the rivers. The morning run up the river you will see schools of salmon, black bears, and Roosevelt elk, on your way to some of best fly fishing water on Vancouver Island.
We book groups of 2- 6 anglers (based on double occupancy) and offer 4-7 day all inclusive packages. We fish 2 anglers per guide, and fish one group of anglers per river system per day.
“I have been guiding the last 15 years on Vancouver Island for coho and steelhead in the fall, and this is by far the best fly fishery that I have ever encountered” – Matt Guiguet –head guide
